FedEx Global Education Center

The FedEx Global Education Center, which opened in 2007, has many features designed to reduce its impact on the environment. One of these is its "green roof." The drought-resistant rooftop garden is designed to minimize the runoff of rainwater. The water is directed towards an underground cistern, which provides water for toilets in the building and for the irrigation of the grounds around it. Carrington Hall, Rams Head Center, and the Genome Science Laboratory Building also feature "green roofs" that reduce runoff.
