Opened in 2007, this 80,000 square-foot building is home to the offices and programs of the International and Area Studies program. It is named for its major donor, Federal Express. Founded in 1971 by Fredrick Smith, Federal Express is a cargo airline that uses jet airplanes to transfer cargo to international destinations. It uses a hub-spoke distribution system that makes it a profitable and efficient company.
